The Illusionary World You Live In

Where do you live ?

You think you live in a very specific place of the world.

You think you know every detail, every aspect, every corner of this place.

But, do you really ?

The place you spend the vast majority of your life is not geographic.

It isn’t even material.

This place is the mind.

It has crafted each fragment of your life.

But, since you wouldn’t want to live a life crafted by someone else.

It had the most ingenuous stratagem.

It hid itself where not even you would suspect it.

It made itself appear as a benevolent servant,

As a useful, but mere tool, helping you to see clearly and operate skillfully in this world.

And to give credit where credit is, its enterprise was successful.

But at what cost ?

The cost is that in using the mind, mankind lost itself in it.

Or to be more precise, mankind gave its self, soul and life to the mind.

For how long ?

This was not written on the contract.

So what was the error ?

The error was to take a map for the territory

To take a dashboard for reality.

To take a servant for a master.
